  • Idols Aside Ministries

A program that offers outdoor and hunting retreats for at risk and fatherless youth. These retreats are held at the Idols Aside Lodge in Central Florida as well as partner properties in Western Kentucky and are an effective way to share the love of a Heavenly Father who longs to know and have a relationship with them. SWF (Sons Without Fathers) was started in 2009 as a program run by IAM Staff and Volunteers and continues to be a powerful tool God is using to reach many fatherless youth. It has now become a pilot model for the body of Christ to use within the local church but can be administered well outside the bounds of sports or outdoor events. IAM is called to use these two specific avenues, but the options are limitless as to what can be used to do as James 1:27 commands us to do “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction…”!
