Kentucky Strong Virtual 5k and 1 mile walk
We have launched a virtual 5k and 1 mile walk, and we are donating all proceeds to the COVID-19 small business relief funds in the areas our clinics are located in (Paducah Small Business Relief Fund, Mayfield-Graves County Small Business Fund, and the Marshall County Team KY Lake Fund). The cost is $20 for the event, $40 for the event plus an exclusive KY Strong t-shirt, or people can choose to make a donation in any amount. The walk or run may be completed anytime between now and May 31, and we’re asking people to post on social media when they’re finished, tag Atlas Physical Therapy, and use the hashtags #atlasmoves #teamkentucky #togetherky #healthyathome.
“Suicide: The Ripple Effect” with Kevin Hines
Clemens Fine Arts Center 4810 Alben Barkley Drive, PaducahThere will be a free screening of the movie, "Suicide: The Ripple Effect", followed by a presentation with Kevin Hines. Kevin Hines is part of the 1% to have a survived a suicide attempt off of the Golden Gate Bridge. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States. The purpose of the event is to bring awareness towards suicide and break the stigma surrounding mental illness. There will be a book signing and reception starting at 5:00 P.M. Must have proof of registration from Eventbrite, can either be paper copy or on phone.
